*M275* *New Service* First South (Solent) 71004 on Service X3 to Fareham Bus Station

My first electric double-decker! 😄 A front row view on board First South 71004 - a Wright New Power Streetdeck Electroliner on service X3 from Southsea to Fareham. Seen here is the bus going along the M275 out of Portsmouth city towards the suburbs. Service X3 is a fairly new route which runs between Southsea, South Parade Pier and Fareham Bus Station via Palmerston Road, The Hard Interchange, City Centre, M275, Northarbour and Portchester. It is a quicker alternative to service 3 which takes the longer route via Cosham and Paulsgrove which the X3 avoids. The bus is a Wright Streetdeck converted to electric from diesel. One of four based at the Hoeford depot near Fareham (71001 - 71004).
