If a Genuine Believer Completely Walks Away From God, Will They Lose Their Salvation?

Can a genuine believer completely walk away from God and lose their salvation? What if someone genuinely believed in Jesus, followed Him for years, and then one day rejected Christianity completely? Were they never truly saved—or can someone who genuinely belonged to Christ actually lose their salvation? This is one of the most difficult questions Christians wrestle with. The Bible contains serious warnings about falling away, yet it also gives powerful promises about God's faithfulness, Christ's protection, and the security of those who belong to Him. In this video, we explore both sides of this difficult question. We'll look at passages about falling away, God's promises of eternal security, the difference between spiritual struggle and completely rejecting Christ, and what stories like Peter's denial and the prodigal son can teach us about returning to God. Christians have reached different conclusions about this subject, so this video isn't about forcing a simple answer. It's about taking the difficult passages seriously while also holding onto the incredible grace and faithfulness of God. And if you've ever wondered whether you've gone too far from God, this conversation is also for you. Maybe the most important question isn't simply, “Can I lose my salvation?” Maybe it's, “Am I following Jesus today?” What do you believe? Can a genuine believer completely walk away from God and lose their salvation—or does completely walking away reveal that their faith was never genuine? Share your thoughts in the comments.
