The deceased have been identified as Dheeraj (35), Hariprasad (40), and Pramod (22). According to reports, residents of Sisendi village had arrived near the Jabraila Bridge around 5 PM on Tuesday for the immersion. During the ritual, Pramod fell into a deep section of the river and became trapped beneath the idol. His childhood friends, Dheeraj and Hariprasad, jumped into the river to save him, but all three drowned due to the strong current. Following the incident, the SDRF, Water Police, and divers conducted a search operation lasting approximately 18 hours. The bodies of the three youths were recovered on Wednesday. Upon the arrival of the bodies in the village, the families were overcome with grief, and a pall of gloom descended on the entire village. This tragedy has left two families devastated; Dheeraj's wife is about two months pregnant, while Hariprasad's wife is eight months pregnant.
