Some battles happen where nobody else can see them. This song is about trauma, overthinking, trust issues, self-doubt, and the exhausting fight between who you’ve been and who you’re trying to become. It’s about carrying words from the past that still echo in your head, pushing people away because you’re afraid they’ll eventually leave, and trying to hold onto faith when you don’t understand what God is doing. I don’t have all the answers. Sometimes I don’t even understand the process. But maybe faith isn’t always understanding the plan. Maybe sometimes it’s asking God for enough strength to keep standing while He’s still writing it. This is the conversation I usually don’t say out loud.
