Responding to a kitchen fire on Stamford FD Engine 1

We are on Stamford Fire Department Engine 1, where we go on a run for a call of a kitchen fire on Courtland Avenue. We were 2nd due, while Tower Ladder 1 was 1st due truck. Before we could get to the scene, another engine company reported overcooked food on the stove and cleared all other units.
