I’ve been blessed to see many beautiful places, but only one will ever be home. I’m always reminding my kids not to take this place for granted, especially this time of year. To lead by example, I spent time from 2023 to 2026 filming life at Sutton’s Freegrace Marble Farm, often with the kids in tow…just because. It’s a remarkable place right here in our town, and I wanted to celebrate it: a reminder to my kids, myself, and all of us of what makes home worth caring for. It also honors the many people who work, often quietly, to keep this history alive, from the fields to the historic cemeteries: farmers, 4-H members, neighbors, volunteers, historians, and more. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to watch, share, and appreciate what’s here, even as our busy lives rush past. If entrusted to represent this community, I’ll bring everything I have to protecting the place that shaped me and preserving what makes it special. I’ve always believed caring for a place means showing up for it.
