Grow Lights for Carnivorous Plants

The talk will cover key aspects of photobiology as well as grow light technology. Drew Martinez will also focus on practical applications of grow lights for carnivorous plants setups. After graduating from Stanford University with study in Physics and Biology, Drew Martinez worked for biotech startups in the San Francisco Bay Area including Pacific Biosciences, KLA-Tencor and Google X where he specialized in fabrication of micro-optics. In 2012, he graduated from the University of Arizona with a Masters of Science in Optics, where his thesis covered *Evaluation and Design of Artificial Lighting for Horticulture. *Drew is currently the owner and operator of Carnivero, a premier nursery specializing in the growing and breeding of carnivorous plants and tropicals.
