Why Stories Still Matter | Garrison Keillor

The Year of the Gift was inspired by the work of Lewis Hyde, who wrote a fascinating book by that title in which he considers creativity and the artist in the modern world, a world that often treats art as commodity. We especially focussed on the gifts of singing, story and memory. GARRISON KEILLOR embodies all three of these gifts and more. He is a poet, a singer, he is one of public radio’s earliest celebrities, a celebrated writer and a journalist, and a performer on stage and on screen. Recorded on Sunday, September 17, 2017
