Surrender everything to Christ and Die FreeComtemporary Bible application

When famine stripped the Egyptians of their possessions, their land, and finally their freedom, they willingly gave everything to Joseph in exchange for life. Yet Noble Alexander famously declared, “I will die free.” What does this teach us about our relationship with Christ? There is a greater famine than the lack of physical bread—the spiritual famine of a heart without God. We may hold tightly to our possessions, ambitions, pride, self-will and independence, yet still be slowly dying spiritually. What if true wisdom is to surrender everything to Christ? When we give ourselves completely to Jesus, He does not leave us empty. He fills us with His Holy Spirit, gives us spiritual life, and sets us free from the slavery of sin. What appears to be surrender may actually be the doorway to genuine freedom. The question is not simply, “What am I willing to give Christ?” but “Am I willing to give Him everything so that I may truly live?” And when our earthly journey ends, may it be said of us that although we surrendered everything to Christ, we died free—free from sin, free from self, and free in Jesus. 🙏 Surrender everything to Christ. Receive His Spirit. Live free. Die free. #SpiritualFreedom #SurrenderToGod #Genesis47 #Joseph #FreedomInChrist #VictoryOverSin #BibleLessons
