🏃‍♂️ STICKER 5 MILE | A NEW CORNISH ROUTE, ROLLING HILLS & A PROPER PASTY! 🥟 Welcome back to Cornish Runner! In this video, I’m heading to Sticker in Cornwall for the Sticker 5 Mile — and this year brought a brand-new route compared with previous years. Starting and finishing at Sticker Football Club, the race takes us out onto the B-roads and beautiful country lanes around Sticker. It might only be five miles, but with around 163 metres of elevation, this was definitely not a flat little run! 😂 The course was full of rolling hills — up, down, up again and then down again — with a particularly sharp climb coming just half a mile into the race. Thankfully, we had almost perfect running conditions, with sunny spells and some cloud, plus plenty of shaded sections underneath the trees. There was a water station at halfway, plenty of marshals around the course, and some great support along the way. And then there was something I definitely wasn’t expecting… 🦖 A DINOSAUR! 😂 Yes, even a dinosaur had turned up to cheer us on! But perhaps the biggest motivation of all was waiting for us at the finish… 🥟 A proper Cornish pasty! Every runner received a pasty, with a choice of steak or cheese and onion. And I can honestly say it tasted absolutely fantastic after five miles of rolling Cornish countryside! Another great local Cornish race, another five miles in the legs, and another brilliant evening out running in Cornwall.
