In this session, we walk through the basics of the AcuContainer process — a flexible solution that distributes delivery costs beyond the direct cost of purchased goods across shipment items to determine the true landed cost per item, with built-in container tracking. AcuContainer integrates primarily between the purchase order and purchase order receipt. This walkthrough covers PO Container transactions, landed cost calculations, the In Transit Register, and PO Receipts. You'll learn: ✅ Enabling Container Management and configuring PO container numbering on the Container Management Preferences screen ✅ Setting up custom classification numbers on stock items for duty and tariff calculations ✅ Creating a PO container directly from a purchase order, or manually from the Container Tracking module ✅ Adding PO lines to a container and reviewing auto-calculated duty and tariff amounts based on custom classifications ✅ Reviewing and adding landed costs under the dedicated Landed Cost tab ✅ Specifying container number, freight forwarder (e.g., DHL), and tracking dates via Open Forwarder Site tracking ✅ Removing hold and moving the container into the In Transit Register to track in-transit quantities ✅ Confirming the PO container status updates to "In Transit" ✅ Creating and releasing a PO receipt, which generates landed cost transactions and an AP bill (via Create Bill) ✅ Releasing landed cost transactions and creating the corresponding AP bill for landed costs ✅ Confirming the container status updates to "Closed" once complete This walkthrough shows how AcuContainer gives you accurate, per-item landed cost visibility and full container tracking — from purchase order through receipt and final billing. AcuContainer is part of the AcuBoost suite by Information Integration Group, Inc.
