Modern insulation in our 100 year old house

How do you insulate a 100-year-old granite house? 🔨 After stripping our house back to its original walls, it’s finally time to start putting the new insulation system in place. In this episode, I start insulating the external walls of our 100-year-old granite house using a modern timber frame, mineral wool insulation and an Intello Plus airtightness membrane. Working with thick granite walls comes with its own challenges, and getting the insulation, airtightness and ventilation strategy right is really important when you’re renovating an old house. It’s a big step forward in the renovation and it’s great to finally start seeing the walls disappear behind the new build-up.
