We've Been Planning Something for a While...

We're finally getting our vegetable garden started here in the Philippines! 🇵🇭🌱 The rain held us up for several days, but once the weather finally gave us a break, we headed out to Mr. DIY and managed to find a shovel so we could get planting. We're starting with tomatoes and green bell peppers in fabric grow bags, using seeds we saved earlier last month. We're also planting spring onions and garlic from our local market as companion plants to help us make the most of our little backyard garden. We're learning as we go, figuring out what grows well in the tropical climate around Dumaguete, and seeing whether we can grow more of the vegetables we eat right at home. Will our saved seeds grow into healthy, productive plants? How will everything handle the Philippine weather? We'll be sharing the progress as the garden develops!
