Testing Optispark without Water Pump LT1 Caprice Impala SS Roadmaster Fleetwood

Testing optispark before installing water pump. This is my original optispark. It had oil in it but was still working when I took it apart. I cleaned it out and sealed it up good but still needed to see if it was working and in what condition and what my electronic cleaner did or didnt do to it. I wasnt sure if the optispark module was going to work / or how it was going to work after the cleaning but it works great. It started up a little funny but after running a few times sounded nice. It is all back together now and runs great. From everything I have heard and know , you want to keep the same module and distributor base if possible or use an original working module. It is probably best to keep your working original one from going out , which might mean fixing seals , which no one wants to do. I have heard and seen that the aftermarket ones are pretty much crap and have a lot of problems.
