A village girl's autumn day: preserves and Transcarpathian cheese

Autumn days in the Carpathians are getting cooler, but a country girl’s chores never seem to decrease 🍂 After a busy day of classes, I quickly have lunch and head off to work. Today, we’ll be harvesting beans, making an incredibly delicious salad for the winter, and putting it away for storage. And then, it’s back to lessons and homework 📚 There’s plenty more in store for me after my studies: I’ll be making delicious Transcarpathian processed cheese, and then I’ll rush back to the kitchen to cook a homemade dinner for my parents and little brothers ❤️ This is what my village life high in the Carpathians looks like: school, household chores, preparing preserves, traditional dishes, and plenty of hard work—yet true happiness is found in these simple moments.
