The Dujiangyan water conservancy project 都江堰水利工程

The Yangtze River ep02-4 The Mingjiang River is the largest tributary in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. Its mainstream has nearly 50 billion cubic meters of water. So it was prone to floods during the rainy season, which took a great toll on the entire Chengdu Plain. The fate of the Chengdu Plain changed in 256 BC, because of the construction of Dujiangyan, a large-scale water conservancy project.
