After the rice harvest, it's time to prepare for a new corn-growing season in rural northern Vietnam. Many families in our village grow one or two small corn plots to earn extra income or to feed their pigs, chickens, and buffaloes. This year, just like every year, we're growing corn again using about 600 grams of seeds. First, I prepare a nursery bed, soak the seeds, and let them sprout before sowing them. I cover the seeds with well-rotted manure to help retain moisture and provide nutrients. A few days later, the young corn plants are ready to be transplanted into the field. Before planting, I also dig drainage channels to help prevent waterlogging during rainy days. These are familiar tasks in our countryside, but every new growing season brings another opportunity to work hard and grow food for our family and animals. Join us for a quiet look at everyday rural life in Vietnam, from preparing corn seedlings to planting them in the field. Thank you for watching and being part of our journey at BuLa Farm. 🌱 #PlantingCorn #RuralVietnam #FarmLife
