I've been busy the past 2 days making a modpack and learning how to mod and play Minecraft and boy am I addicted!
The soundtrack comes back on its own so no idea why it isn't present but it is what it is lol. I booted it back up after this video and it was working. No idea what happened lol. If this happens for you you can try F3+T to reload all audio and texture files and it should fix it
This video is kinda poop with no ambiance but didn't wanna dump the vid just for that. Hopefully next one will have sound
My modpack is nothing special but it includes:
built on game version 26.1.2 for many compatibility reasons
lots of new biomes
tons of guns and I mean tons
upgradable backpacks with over 40 variants and some that grant abilities
lots of QOL mods like Just Enough Items etc
SBPR textures
Distant Horizons is in this pack. Make sure you set Vanilla Render from 16 to 8 blocks
Eclipse Unstable Shader (its pretty stable if you ask me as you can see in my video and has the best grass out of any shader out atm imo)
Eclipse Unstable Shader should already be included in the modpack but if its not there (since I manually installed it) heres the link - Follow the instructions at the bottom of the page to download it - https://github.com/Merlin1809/Eclipse...
3 other Shader packs are also included
Iteration 3.2.0
Bliss Shaders
And a more Vanilla esq one with Complimentary Unbound
I recommend leaving it default on Eclipse but up to you
92 total mods
I think of my list as a Vanilla ++ list because recipes and all that are all still vanilla but every aspect of the base game has been enhanced. I literally threw all this together in 2 days but you shouldn't have insses. Tested it for over 20 hrs. 9+ yrs modding experience will do that lol
I am VERY new to the game so please feel free to tell me anything I missed
Link to my modpack if you want to try it is at the bottom. I built it on top of the FPS modpack but I don't consider 9 mods a modpack but Im stating this for crediting reasons
You MUST use the Modrinth App for my modpack to import it
THE BELOW SETTINGS for Eclipse Shaders should already be enabled by default when you boot the list but they are there for you double check etc.
Only Eclipse Unstable Shader setting changed were the Sun temp and Sun Angle and the grass shader is turned on. Instructions for that below if you want the EXACT visuals in my video. The settings are not mine. Forgot who I watched and go them from on YouTube but they aren't mine
Sun Temp - change to 4700
Sun Angle - change to 72. Think its -35 by default
Grass Shader in the World/Foliage settings. Turn it on. Thats literally it
In the Modrinth app if you don't know you simply hit the "+" in the bottom left hand corner for a new instance and then click upload a modpack and click my file unzipped. Should be a green file if you unzipped it properly
NOTE: I have NEVER done this before so here are some additional instructions since idk if the setting stay
You MUST install Java SE 25 for your PC FIRST (grab the options for your PC - https://www.oracle.com/java/technolog...
For this game version with Distant Horizons ZGC from Java 25 is apparently the best one so after installtion go to the gear icon top right, click "Sync Overrrides"
Tick the box for "Custom Memory Allocation"
Set it to "9999" and hit enter it will default to "9984" which is the max
-If you REALLY don't have the ram to spare you can set it as low as 6000 so 6gigs of ram
2 settings below "Custom Memory Allocation" you will see "Custom Java Arguments"
Check the box and enter this and close the screen
You are now ready to play the modpack. Have fun!
I left the list name FPS Modpack for crediting reasons
