From listening to hardcore through to jungle and house and garage.I picked up a set of headphones in 97 and started spinning jungle for a short while, I then jumped on to garage and it was full on from there.Having a regular pirate radio show on charge fm in Essex to also holding a show down on the early days on flava fm (big up uncle dugs). During these times I was constantly sending tapes out to promoter's to get bookings and just trying to build my name. I played at clubs from cookies and cream at leisure lounge in Holborn to love injection at club zen in Dartford to Hanky Panky at time n envy in Romford. Also jumped on a few other London stations during those times y2k fm, rinse , deja vu, raw mission. Being a dj in the 90s was all about spinning the freshest tunes at the time and music house was where I spent a lot of my wages on cutting dubplates then going record shopping at rhythm division ,planet phatt. I started a few labels during this time with my good friend rossy cee.. I have since moved on from them taking a back seat and enjoying spinning my vinyl in my own time. I'd like to send a massive shout out to my good friends over at @damnrightproductions you will be hearing a lot of new music from them this year. A very talented camp of producers songwriters and singers from the golden era!! Shout to everyone in the scene keeping it alive.! And big up Big Drum and Garage Tape Packs for the invite 💙 My socials are Insta @Sykikdj @comecorrekt Special mention to @damnrightproductions 🎉 GARAGE TAPE PACKS / NEW HORIZONS (2nd Birthday Special) 🎉 Two Years of Innovation and Sonic Exploration: Celebrating the Evolution of Garage Tape Packs As the pulsating rhythms fill the airwaves, marking the second anniversary of garage tape packs, we're thrilled to reflect on the journey that has reshaped the underground music landscape.
