In the heart of the Yorkshire Dales lies a brewery with a legacy unlike any other. This is Black Sheep Brewery. The film tells how Paul Theakston, the black sheep of the Theakston brewing dynasty, founded an independent brewery in Masham after the family brewery was sold in 1987. The first pint of Black Sheep Best Bitter was pulled on 14 September 1992. Over 30 years later, Black Sheep still brews with water drawn from limestone aquifers beneath the Dales and ferments in Yorkshire Square vessels. The story continues as Brick Brewery from Peckham and Brew By Numbers from London move production to Masham, building a centre for brewing excellence where tradition meets innovation.
