FEMINA CORPORALIS Performance at Riga Performance Festival Riga, Latvia | 30 May 2026 Femina Corporalis approaches ritual as an alchemical process of transformation, in which the body becomes both matter and a bearer of knowledge. Through movement, sound, and light, the performance moves from nigredo — darkness and dissolution — through albedo — purification and clarity — towards rubedo, the final stage of alchemical transformation, where opposites merge into a unified whole. Metal vessels become vas hermeticum — vessels in which consciousness, memory, and relationships undergo transformation. Ritual is understood not as a return to the past, but as a vital force circulating between generations, experiences, and different times. Healing emerges as a triumph of life — a pulsating vitality that returns the body to the world with a renewed awareness of both its strength and vulnerability.
