Penn Cove on Whidbey Island is a place I kept coming back to… without knowing the full story behind it. The first time I visited, I thought it was simply a quiet, beautiful spot by the water. It felt peaceful, calm… just one of those places you want to return to. More recently, I had a conversation with a local that made me see this place very differently.
