Bir Tawil is a 2,060 square kilometre patch of desert between Egypt and Sudan that no country claims. This video explains why Egypt and Sudan both refuse it, how two British boundary lines from 1899 and 1902 created the gap, who tried to claim it with a flag, and what the law says. The Hala'ib figure of 20,580 km² is the one given by Wikipedia. The 1899 and 1902 lines and each country's position are described neutrally; the dispute is unresolved. The claims by Jeremiah Heaton (2014) and Suyash Dixit (2017) were never recognised by any government. Maps use Natural Earth and OpenStreetMap boundary data; the Hala'ib outline is approximate. The narration uses a synthetic voice cloned from the channel owner's own voice.
