None But Jesus — Second Part Sermon No. 362 Preached: Sunday evening, February 17, 1861 These two sermons were compiled and made into a little booklet by the Chapel Library and can be obtained free by ordering or free PDF or ePub download here: https://www.chapellibrary.org/book/fa... Based on John 3:18 – “He that believeth on him is not condemned.” In this searching and deeply assuring message, Charles Spurgeon explains the nature of saving faith—what it is, where it looks, why it believes, and what follows when a sinner rests entirely upon Jesus Christ. Faith does not look inward to feelings, repentance, worthiness, good works, or spiritual attainments; its great object is Christ Himself—Christ incarnate, perfectly righteous, crucified as the sinner’s substitute, risen from the dead, and reigning at the Father’s right hand. Spurgeon insists that the sinner comes to Christ with nothing to offer but his need and his sin, resting upon what Christ has accomplished rather than anything found within himself. From the glorious declaration of John 3:18, Spurgeon unfolds the believer’s complete justification in Christ: “He that believeth on him is not condemned.” The believer’s guilt has been laid upon Christ, the debt has been paid, sin has been carried away, and Christ’s perfect righteousness has been credited to the one who trusts Him. This justification is present, complete, continual, and effectual. Even when faith grows weak, trials multiply, assurance fades, or Satan accuses, the believer’s standing before God rests not upon the strength of his faith but upon the unchanging righteousness and finished work of Jesus Christ. Whether you struggle with assurance, feel the weight of your sin, wonder whether your faith is strong enough, or simply desire a clearer understanding of justification by faith, this message points again and again to the same glorious refuge: look away from yourself and look to Christ. Spurgeon calls sinners to come just as they are and encourages believers to live in the freedom, gratitude, humility, and holiness that flow from knowing there is no condemnation for those who rest in the Savior. #CharlesSpurgeon #Faith #JustificationByFaith #NoCondemnation #JesusChrist #John3 #SpurgeonSermons #Gospel #Salvation #ChristianSermon ➤ Explore more sermons from Charles Spurgeon:    • The Writings of Charles Haddon Spurgeon      • Spurgeon Sermons From James: Faith That Works      • From Palm Sunday to Easter: Holy Week Mess...   ➤ Subscribe to Immeasurable Grace for more Christ-centered preaching: https://tinyurl.com/ImmeasurableGrace 📌 For a full outline and reflection guide, see the pinned comment below. 📺 All sermons are curated for spiritual reflection, theological depth, and the exaltation of Christ. #CharlesSpurgeon #SpurgeonSermons #PrinceOfPreachers #ChristianSermons #ReformedTheology #GospelPreaching #BiblicalTruth #FaithComesByHearing #ChristExalted #ImmeasurableGrace
