Oxbow Wetland Profile - Waterford Park Urbandale

Oxbows are wetlands that form when a portion of a stream gets cut off from the main channel. Oxbow wetlands are being restored throughout Iowa to help with wildlife, flood water retention, and water quality. Check out other videos on this channel to see more wetland types found throughout Iowa and learn about all the good they do!
