Hrafnafjǫrðr – Fjallið Svarar (When the Mountain Answers) | Epic Viking Metal

#vikingmetal #norsemetal #epicmetal Fjallið Svarar (When the Mountain Answers) is an epic Nordic metal anthem about seven warriors facing the unforgiving wilderness of the North. Driven by crushing guitar riffs, melodic twin-guitar leads, pounding war drums, and powerful Old Norse chants, the song follows a dangerous ascent through snow, stone, and relentless mountain storms. What begins as a journey of strength and determination becomes a confrontation with something far greater than any warrior — nature itself. The mountain offers no promises, recognizes no courage, and grants no victory simply because it is demanded. English verses tell the story, while Icelandic-inspired Nordic chants echo through the storm. At its heart, Fjallið Svarar is not about conquering the mountain, but discovering humility beneath its towering peaks. Some mountains are not meant to be conquered. They are meant to remind us how small we are. ⚔️ Full lyrics below. 🐦‍⬛ Subscribe for more Hrafnafjǫrðr. 🛠️ Produced by Frostline Frequency 🎵 Written & performed by Hrafnafjǫrðr © 2026 — All rights reserved; Some elements created with the assistance of AI; All audio and visual content owned by @frostlinefrequency; No re-uploading or redistribution without permission. Fjallið Svarar Official Lyrics: Fjallið þegir Vindrinn veit We left before the morning While the valley still was black Seven men beneath the ridgeline With the winter at our backs No road was cut before us No marker showed the way Only stone beneath our footsteps And the first grey light of day Hærra! Lengra! Yfir stein! Fram! When the mountain answers You will hear no voice Only stone beneath the thunder Only consequence and choice When the mountain answers Stand or turn away It has watched a thousand strong men Come and vanish in a day By noon the clouds had found us And erased the world below Every step became a question Every breath was filled with snow One man shouted through the whiteout That the summit must be near But the mountain gave no answer And the wind was all we'd hear Hærra! Lengra! Yfir stein! Fram! When the mountain answers You will hear no voice Only stone beneath the thunder Only consequence and choice When the mountain answers Stand or turn away It has watched a thousand strong men Come and vanish in a day Fjallið lofar engum sigri Fjallið skuldar engum leið We came here thinking strength was ours As if the earth could understand But stone has never bowed to courage And winter never shook a hand Fjallið þegir Fjallið sér Fjallið þegir Fjallið man When the mountain answers You will hear no voice Only stone beneath the thunder Only consequence and choice When the mountain answers We will know our place Not as masters of the mountain But as footprints it erased Fjallið þegir En fjallið man
