Your Life as a Flight Dispatcher at Every Level

Ever wonder what it actually feels like to be the person on the ground deciding how a flight gets home safely? In this video, we follow one aircraft dispatcher through every stage of the career — from the overwhelmed New Hire drowning in fuel calculations and NOTAMs, to the steady-handed Experienced dispatcher who can read a storm system before it forms, to the Lead who's no longer managing flights but managing an entire operation. Dispatchers are legally half the pilot-in-command on every flight they release — yet most passengers have no idea this job even exists. This is what it's really like, at every level. 🛫 Part of the "Your Life As... At Every Level" series exploring aviation careers from the inside.
