How did a boy who was abandoned on the Mongolian steppe become one of the most powerful rulers in history?
This is the story of *Genghis Khan* — from Temüjin, a boy who nearly died forgotten on the steppe, to the founder of the Mongol Empire.
He didn't inherit the richest kingdom. He didn't begin with the strongest army. Instead, he built power through loyalty, strategy, mobility, intelligence, and the ability to unite people who had once been bitter enemies.
In this documentary, we follow his rise from childhood, the unification of the Mongolian tribes, the creation of the Mongol war machine, the devastating campaigns across Central Asia, and the expansion of Mongol power toward Europe.
But the story doesn't end with his death.
His descendants continued expanding the empire, eventually creating the largest contiguous empire in human history. The Mongol world connected distant civilizations through trade, warfare, technology, ideas, and communication — while also leaving behind enormous destruction.
So how did one man transform a divided steppe into an empire that stretched across much of Eurasia?
And how did an empire this powerful eventually begin to fall apart?
This is the story of *Temüjin — remembered by history as Genghis Khan.*
