Datun Sahib II LEH - LADAKH

Location: Situated in the main bazaar of Leh, right behind the historic Jamia Masjid in an area known as Bread Alley. History: During his missionary journeys (Udasis), Guru Nanak visited Leh and used a miswak twig to brush his teeth while sitting on a rock. He placed the twig in the ground, and it grew into a massive tree, bringing life and greenery to the high-altitude arid desert. Significance: The site is deeply revered not only by Sikhs but also by local Buddhists and Muslims as a powerful symbol of peace, unity, and Guru Nanak's blessing on the region. A small shrine and protective enclosure mark the location near the Leh Palace.
