Also recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086, it lies near Segsbury Camp, an Iron Age hillfort that reveals an even older history in the surrounding landscape. 🌾 WEST CHALLOW Set beside Childrey Brook in the Vale of White Horse, West Challow has deep historical roots. The name Challow appears in a charter dated 947, while the distinct name West Challow is recorded from 1284.
