Buddy’s Graduation Video| 1 1/2 years young| Lab Mix

Buddy boy is a happy go lucky dude that needed some guidance in his leash manners as he had a tendency to become overly excited that he would bark, whine and pull when he saw another dog on leash. Through behavior modification around neutral dogs, engage/ disengage game starting from a distance and lots of positive reinforcement he’s become calmer along with being more engaged with the handler. Another thing Buddy came in was to work on being calm when people come to the house, by using the place command on his new bed, we were able to make “place” a fun game to where he loves going on it to receive attention, a tug toy or a treat! The last thing we worked on was his recall as he had a tendency to take off when seeing wildlife run away. With lots of repetitions on a long lead followed by lots of praise he now is geared to come to the handler knowing he’ll get something amazing out of it! Now this guy is ready to be reunited and have lots of off leash time with his family!! Proud of you!!
