Roadtrip in Romania: What It Really Looks Like (No Talking, Just the Drive)

No narration on this one. Just a Saturday drive across western Romania, the way it actually looks from behind the wheel. We start in Timișoara, head out on Calea Aradului (past the university and the old trolleybus lines), run the A1 north past Arad, then follow the Mureș River east into the hills to Cetatea Șoimoș, a cliff-top fortress first written down in 1278. Lunch was at Roca Brună, a restored old manor in the forest by the river. On the way back we stop on the Păuliș Heroes Monument, then it's the long drive home (the wife driving, behind a truck, the whole way). The map you see is the real GPS track from the drive.
