I turned a raw 3D print into a screen-ready Grogu Stormtrooper helmet — and this was honestly the QUICKEST, easiest prop build I've ever done! In this video I walk you through the complete workflow from start to finish: sanding, priming, painting, chrome accents with Rub 'n' Buff, magnet installation for the detachable face piece, and finally the green welder's lens install. This Grogu Mandalorian Stormtrooper helmet features a detachable magnetic face plate — a smart design that makes it practical for display AND cosplay. The whole build came together fast and the results speak for themselves. What's covered in this build:
✅ Sanding progression: 80 → 180 → 320 grit, then 2000 → 3000 wet sand after primer
✅ Priming with an air compressor gun for a flawless base coat
✅ White acrylic lacquer painting at 25–30 PSI with a 1.4mm airbrush nozzle
✅ Gray & black accent painting with Valo acrylic polyurethane
✅ Chrome finish using Rub 'n' Buff — no paint needed!
✅ 8x2mm magnet installation for the detachable face piece
✅ Green tinted lens from a welder's shield using water & squeegee🔔 Want more quick Star Wars prop builds? Subscribe and hit the bell!
