Originally built in 1924 by ACF, former Santa Fe flat car Wt-M 191811 began as one of 500 general-purpose freight cars before being modified in 1957 for TOFC (trailer on flat car) service and renumbered 92874. After retiring from TOFC service in the mid-1970s, the Santa Fe repurposed it for maintenance of way (MOW) operations, adding grab irons and railings for use as an idler and shove platform at the Dolese rock crushing plant in Big Canyon.
Following the plant’s closure, the car remained captive until Dolese generously donated it to the Oklahoma Railway Museum in 2023. Watch as we unload the flat car and return it to the tracks at the museum! 🚂 #SantaFe #RailHistory #oklahomarailwaymuseum
