The Seattle Seahawks travel to Pittsburgh in Week Eleven hoping to find a way to stop the bleeding, but instead leave with another disappointing defeat. The Steelers dominate the matchup, handing Seattle a 36–15 loss that drops the Seahawks to 2–9 on the season. At this point, the losses are piling up, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to find positives in the team’s weekly performances. The two victories against Chicago and the Los Angeles Rams briefly offered some hope, but those wins have done little to change the bigger picture. After taking a two-week hiatus from Madden 27 and forgetting to upload those victories, the franchise series returns to a team that is still struggling to establish an identity. The winning streak is already in the past, and Seattle is once again left searching for answers.
What makes this loss particularly frustrating is the opponent. Pittsburgh entered the contest with a 1–8 record, making this a matchup against one of the league’s struggling teams. Rather than taking advantage of the opportunity to secure a third victory, Seattle suffers a blowout defeat. The Seahawks might have had a chance to make the game more competitive if the offense had converted its opportunities into touchdowns more efficiently. Scoring 15 points simply is not enough to overcome a team that puts up 36, especially when the offense needs to capitalize on every opportunity to keep pace. There is little to celebrate from this performance, and the result raises further questions about the team’s consistency, execution, and overall roster construction.
With the Seahawks now sitting at 2–9, the focus has shifted almost entirely toward the future. This season is becoming an extended learning experience with Madden 27, an opportunity to understand the game’s mechanics and AI, develop the younger players on the roster, and identify the changes needed to turn the franchise around. Arch Manning’s rookie season and the development of the team’s other young talent remain important priorities, but player development must eventually translate into a more competitive team. The offensive and defensive lines, the efficiency of the offense, and the defense’s ability to keep games within reach all remain areas worth examining as the season progresses. There is no reason to pretend this has been a successful campaign, and the Pittsburgh loss offers very little encouragement. Sometimes, the only thing left to do after a performance like this is return to the drawing board, learn from the mistakes, and prepare for the next game. The season continues, the rebuild remains unfinished, and Seattle has plenty of work ahead. Onto the next one.
