In this video I go step-by-step through replacing the left main crank seal on my 2001 Honda CR250. The bike was showing symptoms of a serious issue, including leaking from the bottom weep hole, which pointed to a failing seal behind the stator side of the engine.
To access the seal, I removed the stator cover and flywheel, then inspected the left side of the crankshaft for damage and leakage. This repair is critical because a bad crank seal can cause air leaks, poor running conditions, and oil contamination issues.
If your CR250 is hard to tune, running inconsistent, or showing signs of leakage from the weep hole, this video will walk you through what to look for and how to replace the seal correctly.
Make sure to check the crankshaft surface and take your time during installation to avoid damaging the new seal.
