τούφα ρε 7b+, First Ascent (Kerkyra, Greece)

In a new sector, Thymiató, I found this interesting route with discontinuous tufas. This break in the steep middle section turned out to be the crux, moving from the abundant tufas across and up. With a young local, Dimitris, I was able to come out here several times in the summer heat! 8/8/2026 33c humidity about 57% I gave an about 3 sessions to learn the moves, then subsequently spent the next 9 attempts from the bottom before today. I learned about “ρε” from Dimitris, while working this route. I found it could be named nothing else but τούφα ρε which translates to Tufa Bro. The route starts out of frame with a crack into a very nice slab section. You arrive at a no hands rest on a ledge. From here you enter the steeper tufa section, with the steepest being the crux which I estimate to be 6c+ boulder.
