Now I lay Thee Down from The Blackening by Machine Head playing with microphone positions before recording parts for the next @luismorrisonmusic release. My drum kit is a 2011 Mapex Saturn shell kit and a Black Panther Sledgehammer snare And Meinl Cymbals apart from my stack that are just two cracked stagg cymbals that fit well together to make a good clap sound (From right to left) Meinl Byzance 14" Dark Hats Meinl Classics Custom 8" Dark Splash Meinl MB10 20" Heavy Crash Meinl MB10 20" Ride Meinl Pure Alloy 18" Medium Crash Meinl Pure Alloy Custom 19" Medium Thin Crash Meinl Classics Custom 18" Dark China Stagg Furia 18" Crash and Stagg Traditional 18" China (both cracked but nicely fitting) Audio interfaces I use in my set up are a Focusrite 18I20 and a Behringer UMC1820 Microphones used in my set up: Kick (Inner shell) - AKG D112 Kick (Outer shell) - Shure SM58 Snare Top Head - Shure SM57 & SM57 Beta Snare Bottom Head - Shure SM57 Rack Toms - 2x AKG D40's Floor Toms - 2x AKG Perception Live P2's Overheads - 2x Rode M5's Hi Hat - SE Electronics X1S Room Mic - Se Electronics X1S The DAW I use is logic pro and I mainly use Izotope PlugIns for mixing with one or two waves plugins for extra attack or compression and use an M1 Macbook pro to run the interfaces into Logic pro as an aggregate device.
