A filmmaker leaves notes on his video and goes back to his day. While he's busy, an AI makes the edit and hands him a rough cut in DaVinci Resolve, ready for him to keep working on.
I don't edit my videos anymore. An AI agent I built with Claude Code edits all of them, and I call it Sophia. In this video I hand it to a filmmaker who has been editing for decades, on a real client video. By the end, he wants it for his own work.
This is part 1 of 3.

The cliff notes. If you just want the lessons, copy this into ChatGPT or Claude and ask it whatever you want about the episode.
The filmmaker gives notes on a review page built for him. The AI does nothing until he presses Send notes, because a filmmaker changes his mind halfway through a watch.
He uses Frame.io with his own clients: notes on the exact frame, clients can add their own notes, or he sends a view-only link. We talked about building that same review page for him, under his own brand.
Every client gives notes differently. Some text, some send voice notes, some email, some use the review page. The agent takes them whichever way they come.
The review page plays a 720p copy so it loads fast. The download is full HD.
The AI hands back a real DaVinci Resolve project, every shot on its own clip, so an editor can open it and keep going.
His next job is an online course, 10 lessons of about 45 minutes, shot in 4K. The plan: the 4K stays on his drive, he makes small proxies in Resolve, the AI syncs and cuts the first draft on the proxies, and he relinks to the 4K in Resolve for the final.
Where the agent runs: on your laptop (only while it's on), on a Mac mini at home that never turns off, or in Claude's cloud. Claude gives $250 in cloud session credits. My test used about $6.
Frame.io has an API for uploading versions, reading comments and getting alerts on new comments, so the agent can work inside the tool clients already know.
Part 2 and part 3 are coming this week.
