Home Soil, HEAT & a lot of Pressure / Yonex Bonn International Vlog 2026

The Bonn International was a tournament I had been looking forward to for a long time. Competing on home soil made it even more special, and after completing a training block followed by a competition block, I genuinely felt ready for the challenge. Physically, I felt prepared. My training had gone well, and I was confident in the work I had put in leading up to the event. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take full advantage of the opportunity when it mattered most. Looking back, the biggest challenge wasn't my badminton—it was how I handled the match mentally. Playing at home, wanting to perform well, and putting high expectations on myself created a level of pressure that affected my performance. It's a tough lesson, but an important one, and something I can learn from moving forward. Despite the disappointment, there are plenty of positives to take away from this experience. Every tournament is an opportunity to grow, and this one highlighted areas that I need to continue developing both on and off the court. Now the focus shifts to the next challenge. I'm excited to keep improving and test myself again at upcoming tournaments, including the Czech Open. Thanks for all the support, and I hope you enjoy following the journey.
