2024 Newport Hill Climb: There, Up & Back

The Newport Hill Climb is a competition for antique cars about 30 miles south of the Hunter family farm in Indiana. On Sunday, October 6, 2024 Erick and Park Hunter drove two antique cars to the climb, raced the hill, and drove home... an 85-mile round trip adventure! Enjoy this video of the Martin / Hunter family's 1929 Ford Model AA lumber truck ("Old Amos") and Park's 1952 Crosley ("The Speedster," a re-bodied Hot Shot) making the trip and challenging the hill on a beautiful fall day. Plus, see a a few local landmarks along the way! 00:10 The Speedster 00:20 Old Amos 00:36 Driving down to Newport 01:18 Williams Chapel 02:30 Newport Hill Climb history 03:24 Amos climbs the hill 05:12 The Speedster climbs the hill 07:38 Driving home to the farm 08:22 Cayuga Brick Works 09:39 Eugene covered bridge 10:03 Music credits For more backstory on the Hunter family cars, see... https://itisgood.org/auto-biography/ For more information about the Newport Hill Climb, see... https://newport-antique-auto-hillclim...
