Part of our 2025 Archive File Series. Aloha Stadium Swap Meet and Marketplace, centrally located on Oahu, is Hawaii’s largest open-air market. Locals flock here to find unique treasures and the best deals in town. However, the demolition of the Aloha Stadium has necessitated a change in the vendors’ location. This marks our first visit to the market with its new layout. We were immediately impressed with the new set up. The vendors were lined up in different rows and they even have a huge tent which appeared to me as a food hall initially. The new location brings the same aloha, and provided a guide to swap meet’s new look. This refreshed and revived location brings all your favorite vendors and booths a new place to connect with the community. New family-friendly features include shade structures, stroller-accommodating aisles, restrooms and a first aid station. The addition of the Ho’okipa Hale Tent is perfect to cool off while enjoying live entertainment and food. Standard/Swap Meet HoursWednesdays from 8:00am – 3:00pmSaturdays from 8:00am – 3:00pmSundays from 6:30am – 3:00pm Admission All parking gates are CASH ONLY$2.00 general admission for 12 years and older$1.00 admission for Kama’aina (Hawaii/State ID) and Active Military w/ valid IDFree admission for 11 years and under We didn’t want to spend too much time at the swap meet. We headed to our next destination, Kahala Beach. We renewed our vows on this beach 2 years ago so we just wanted to make a quick stop while visiting the island. Our next stop was Ho’Omaluhia Botanical Garden. We didn’t realize how massive this place was so we chose to just drive around and made a couple of stops for pictures then moved on to the next destination. Strolling or driving through these lush 400 acres in windward Oʻahu, you will truly agree that Hoʻomaluhia is rightfully named ‘a peaceful refuge.’ Opened in 1982, this garden in Kāneʻohe features plantings from major tropical regions around the world grouped geographically. This is truly a hidden paradise. The Garden was designed and built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide flood protection for Kāneʻohe. Hours 9:00 am - 4:00 pm closed every Thursday, Christmas Day (December 25), and New Year’s Day (January 1) Admission Fee Free Laʻie Point State Wayside on Oahu's northeastern shore mesmerizes with dramatic coastal beauty, featuring the iconic "Laʻie Point Needle" and volcanic rock formations. Last stop, Turtle Bay Resort walking tour. This resort has been taken over by Ritz-Carlton. This place is very special to us since this is where we had our big wedding when we lived on Oahu. We couldn’t afford to have a big wedding being married at a young age so we went big while living here. The transformation of this oceanfront haven marks the beginning of a new chapter in luxury as it joins the world-renowned Ritz-Carlton family. The resort now blends the natural beauty of its surroundings with the refined elegance and relaxed luxury for which The Ritz-Carlton is known. Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning, you will experience the genuine aloha spirit and exceptional Hawaiian hospitality that define this extraordinary destination. Located on Oʻahu’s legendary North Shore, Turtle Bay offers a picturesque blend of sandy beaches, jaw-dropping surf, and lush greenary. Located just an hour from Honolulu and Waikiki, this tranquil retreat is surrounded by some of Oʻahu’s most stunning natural beauty. #familyadventure #travel #oahu #traveldiaries #familyvlogs #visithawaii #outdooradventure #outdooractivities #activitieswithkids #sightseeing #tourist #swapmeet #roadtrip #explore Music: Falling Verse Musician: VN VideoEditor Music: Dreamers in the Sun Musician: VN VideoEditor Music: Dreamers in the Sun Musician: VN VideoEditor Music: Smiles in the Sun Musician: VN VideoEditor Music: Golden Days Musician: VN VideoEditor
