It follows Hussain ibn Ali’s journey after the people of Kufa invited him to come and lead them, only to abandon him when the moment of truth arrived, leaving his envoy Muslim ibn Aqeel to be killed and Hussain himself to continue toward a fate he had been repeatedly warned about. The story then moves through the final confrontation, where Hussain and his family were surrounded by an army and were eventually massacred.
