How to replace the license plate light on a Volvo C30. This particular car I am working with here today is a 2007 and this procedure may apply to other Volvo models as well. #volvo #volvoc30 Amazon links for the bulbs: USA: LED bulb: https://amzn.to/3qF3JE8 Incandescent bulb: https://amzn.to/3pvmTLo Canada: LED bulb: https://amzn.to/2NtN9sm Incandescent bulb: https://amzn.to/3jUfzb0 Website: http://4diyers.com Patreon:   / 4diyers   Facebook:   / 4diyers   Twitter:   / 4diyers   Instagram:   / 4diyers   Tumblr:   / 4diyers   Pintrest:   / 4diyers   Tools/Supplies Needed: -phillips screwdriver Procedure: First, you’ll need to remove the two phillips screws holding the lens into place. A screwdriver can be used, however, due to the angle of the screws, it may not allow the screwdriver tip to fully engages so there’s a greater chance of stripping the screws. Therefore it’s best to use a ratchet with a phillips driver tip. Remove the other screw. The lens should have a small seal installed and it may hold it into place. Using the screw, place it back into the hole and just grab the edge of the hole to pull it down. The bulb just wedges into place, gently pull out away one terminal from the bulb so it drops out. Be extremely careful, over time the plastic in these housing can become brittle and will break the terminal mount. I’d recommend using a glove to install the new bulb. Don’t get oil on the glass from your skin as it can create a hot spot, eventually burning out the bulb. The bulb type is 6418. Make sure it is clipped into place. Then reinstall the lens, make sure it’s in the correct orientation. Tighten up the screws, not too tight as this is only plastic. Verify to ensure it’s working and you’re officially done.
