The Fire Department Physical Ability Exam

This video shows the physical ability examination that is administered as part of our testing process. Once your application has been accepted, you will be notified of practice sessions so that you can come and experience the physical exam in a practice session before taking the scheduled examination. After practicing, you are welcome to take the exam during a practice session and if you pass the physical exam during a practice session, we will accept that as your official attempt! Also, we do accept a verifiable CPAT certificate in lieu of taking our physical exam if the CPAT certificate has been obtained within the last 12 months!
