We left Sanur Harbour on a fast ferry, taking just 35 minutes to Nusa Lembongan. Once there, the ferry literally reversed back into the beach to unload us and our island adventure began! We decided to be a little more daring and hire scooters. Out of all the transport options, we felt scooters would give us the best chance of exploring both islands and seeing as much as possible in the six hours we had. We hired two scooters for only $22 Australian. As we are in our mid-50s we don't ride motorbikes regularly or for long periods we decided to be a little more daring. However, we found the scooters easy to handle, safe and comfortable enough for exploring the Island. We explored Nusa Lembongan before crossing the famous Yellow Bridge to Nusa Ceningan, checking both islands to see if they were somewhere we'd return to for a longer stay. Scooters are a brilliant way to explore, but here's our biggest tip: plan where you going! signage is limited, and knowing your route will help you see far more in a short visit.
