Don’t Believe Everything You Hear | Discernment in a World of Competing Voices | RETURN Week 3

Not every voice that sounds spiritual comes from God. Everybody has a microphone. Everybody has a podcast. The algorithm has made everybody a theologian. So how do you know what’s really God? In Week 3 of RETURN: Back to the Source, Pastor Lawrence Miles walks through Jeremiah 14, where false prophets promised peace while the ground was cracking. You’ll learn five practical tests for discerning God’s voice: Does it agree with Scripture? Does it look like Jesus? What fruit does it produce? Can it survive wise community? Does it require you to ignore reality? If you’ve been hurt by people who used God’s name, overwhelmed by social media noise, or unsure whether that “strong feeling” is the Holy Spirit, this message is for you. 📖 Jeremiah 14:13–16 | John 10:27 | 1 John 4:1 | James 3:17 The Gathering Place exists to make space for everyone, everywhere, to gather, grow, and go. 🌐 TGPMN.org #Discernment #HearingGodsVoice #Jeremiah #FalseProphets #ChristianSermon #TheGatheringPlace #ReturnSeries #FaithAndCulture #Minneapolis Add timestamps for the five tests if your editor has them.
