Sun Wukong Explained: The Complete Story of the Monkey King and Journey to the West

Born from a primordial stone and mastering profound spiritual arts, Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, challenged the celestial court before embarking on the greatest pilgrimage in classical Chinese literature. Wu Cheng'en’s 16th-century masterpiece Journey to the West is far more than an epic adventure—it is a timeless philosophical allegory blending Daoism, Buddhism, and Confucian thought. This documentary traces Sun Wukong’s legendary arc: from his acquisition of the title "Great Sage Equal to Heaven" and his containment beneath the Five Elements Mountain, to his path toward self-mastery, humility, and eventual Buddhahood. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🎓 EDUCATIONAL & CULTURAL CONTEXT This video is created strictly for educational, cultural, and literary storytelling purposes.
