So....a 2017 Polaris Ranger was dropped off at the workshop the other day, customer complaint was that reverse gear had stopped working & a loud 'clicking' noise when selected. After a little research is became clear that this is a common problem with this Polaris model. So, looks likle we have the gearbox to remove, strip & replace the reverse gear & selector collar too. This video covered the step by step process of removing the gearbox from the vehicle, not quite in the order explained in the Service Manual due to a couple of 'issues' we encounter but we get the job done. Also discover there are a few omissions in the manual & it's not 100% correct to please do watch the full video to pick up on these.
