Right on our doorstep in the Peak District, this classic out-and-back loop from Cut Gate over to Hope takes in some of our all-time favourite trails. These are the rugged tracks and wild moorlands that not only inspire our kit designs and colour palettes, but serve as the ultimate testing ground for our development samples. Expect a proper big day out with rugged, rocky terrain, seriously challenging technical climbs, and epically long, twisting descents.
Distance: 69km
Total Elevation: 1955m vertical
Start Point: Langsett (what3words: ///bluff.track.neckline)
Terrain: Pointy rocks, techy climbs, moorland singletrack, and fast descents
Key Stops & Refuels:
Langsett (Start/Finish): Free parking, cafe, and pub
Fairholmes / Derwent Dam (19km & 53km): Cafe, toilets, and small bike shop
Hope (26.5km): Cafes, shops, and public toilets
Edale (39km): Cafe, pub, and toilets (just off-route)
Trail Notes & Warnings:
It's classic Peak geology—expect rocks everywhere, long technical climbs (zero shame in pushing the first kick back up Cut Gate), and fast, tricky descents. Cut Gate is exposed high moorland where weather turns fast, so pack spare layers for the worst conditions. Hope Valley is also hiker heaven, so please keep it friendly and give way to walkers!
If 69km with nearly 2000m of ascent sounds heavy, there are multiple options to shortcut the route. Feeling super frisky instead? Tag on sections from our Hayfield / Jacob’s Ladder / Rushup Edge loop for a monster ride.
